What do you do? I do two things - 1. I produce and conduct continuing education courses for licensed professionals and 2. I help business owners improve their company and get the most out of being a business owner.

Published work: I've developed the content for more than 60 continuing education courses and written the course booklets. I have written article for trade publications including COSE Update and I'm a writer/editor for COSE MindSpring.

What I like most about being a business owner: No boss

What I like least: No boss

What I like most about having an office at home: No rent and no commute

What I like least about having an office at home: It difficult to separate business matters from personal matters.

What advise I'd give to others who work at home: Be disciplined and keep business and personal matters and time separate

Biggest mistake: Placing trust and confidence in the wrong people (wrong people on the bus).

What I like most about COSE membership: All the resources

Three traits critical to my success: 1. I can simplify difficult subject matter and make it understandable and I can make mundane subject matter interesting. 2. I'm a reasonably good communicator and 3. I listen.

Advise to live by: Be good / do good

Favorite color: Navy blue

Favorite movie: All the Bourne movies

Favorite hobbies: None really, I read a lot.

Favorite cuisine: Everything – except liver and onions

Favorite book: Lord of the Rings trilogy

Favorite Album: The Three Tenors first album

Favorite TV show: Nova

If I had one more hour in the day I would: do whatever is next

Country I'd like to visit: Italy, particularly Rome

Most influential person in my life: My wife

Biggest achievement: Personally - Helping my wife raising eight great children. Professionally - Developing some expertise that is helpful to other people.

Grandest wish: To sing like Sinatra and dance like Travolta

What I can't live without: Relationships with my family, both immediate and extended.
