What do you like most about being a business owner?
The ability to put my priorities in order: God first, family second and career third. It provides independence and greater self esteem and the ability to provide employment to others with more flexible work hours - especially for the single parent. No more corporate politics!
Least?
Having to be the "bad guy" sometimes. It is very hard to have to fire anyone.
What do you like most about having a home office?
No more rush hour! I can manage my home and family needs at the same time. Less stress as I can take a break or a day off whenever I wish and begin my day when rested and/or work as late in the evening as I wish.
Least?
Surprise visitors.
Advice to anyone considering starting a home-based business:
Make sure it is something that you LOVE. Change your lifestyle so you can spend more time with God and your loved ones.
Biggest business mistake:
Diving in without more information as we had to learn as we went along....however, it is still a never ending lesson.
What do you like most about being a COSE member?
The information available and the health benefits.
Have you been active with COSE: Unfortunately not enough. I have been a little too busy to attend but plan to once we have moved from two houses into one.
